The Admin noticeboard is one way through which users can notify administrators of issues needing administrative attention. While users are welcome to directly contact specific administrators (especially if they are seen to be active), posting here can be an easier and quicker way of ensuring that at least one admin will notice an issue and respond to it promptly. Remember to sign (using four tildes: ~~~~) when posting an issue.

Before posting an issue here, please consider the following:

  • This page is for reporting wiki issues. Please post discussions on the talk page.
  • Post only issues that require administrative action, i.e. blocking vandals, protecting pages, restoring deleted pages etc.
  • Do not post deletion requests here. Deletion requests should be made by adding {{delete}} to the top of the target page, which will then automatically mark the page as a candidate for deletion.
  • Do not post issues regarding content disputes. Try making a request for comment instead.
  • Mediation requests between users should only be made once a resolution could not be reached between users.
  • For issues regarding the use of this wiki, please see our help center.

In case of vandalism, posting about it here is low priority. Revert it first, anyone can do so. If the vandal created a new page, tag it for deletion. Assume good faith and consider leaving a message on that user's talk page to explain the reason. Post here only if the user has made several disruptive edits and/or persists despite a warning. Always avoid a revert war with the vandal; it is far better to wait until an admin has a chance to intervene. If a user must be reported here, please use {{user}}, preferably as the topic subject/headline.

Please post new topics at the bottom of the page by clicking "edit" above and scrolling to the bottom of the page.

Current Issues

Note from the administrator: It has come to my attention that some users are creating spam pages about various topics not pertaining to this wiki. They are easy to find, since they have titles talking about anything from herbal remedies to how to succeed in real estate. They also contain external links.

  • If you see one of these pages, please tag it for deletion by following the instructions above.
  • It is not advisable for you to follow the links on those pages, as they will likely link to websites that will download malware onto your computer without your permission.
  • Effective immediately, any user found posting these spam pages on this wiki will be permanently banned without exception.
    • This only applies to users who post pages that are unquestionably irrelevant to the wiki (e.g. how to get a cheap car, why you should buy a certain real-life product, and etc.).

Im not sure if this belongs here, but sometimes, the color-sheme seems very unpracticable to me as there is white font on white background. This is:

  • In the Preview
  • In the Changes

Not something I've come across, could you give replication steps? It could be browser/browser settings related. Bone White (talk) 23:09, 20 November 2013 (UTC)
Ok I see the problem. Sometimes there are tabs (i did not find out why yet, but it appeared on chorme and safari) on top of the edit window. If you switch to Preview there it is white font on white background. In the other case i went to the version history of Getting Started and found possibly unread changes marked white in the table which made it unreadable as the font was white, too. Draconarach (talk) 23:52, 20 November 2013 (UTC)
Oh right, yeah. I've noticed that too. I'll go play with the CSS at some point. Si (talk) 15:22, 21 November 2013 (UTC)

I know that you have to pay the bills to stay online but still, there are a lot of adverts on article pages, including banner and video adverts. My browser also counted thirty different trackers before I got fed up and turned AdBlock on (I leave it off by default). Can anything be done? 109.79.152.199 17:26, 10 January 2014 (UTC)

  • That's a question for the Curse admins; you might try commenting on their profile. Kilfio (talk) 15:44, 12 December 2014 (UTC)

Circuitbomb In latest firefox the link for the logo overlays the page button making it unaccessible to mouseclicks/hovers

  • I'm not having that issue with my firefox. Can you upload a screenshot? Kilfio (talk) 15:42, 12 December 2014 (UTC)
  • Here you go Screenshot Circuitbomb (talk) 22:35, 12 December 2014 (UTC)
    • Oh yes, thank you! Now I do see the problem; I've been having that issue myself with Chrome. Unfortunately, that is not something I can fix as a community administrator; I only have power over page creation and editing, not the wiki framework. I've been trying to talk to Curse about some various gamepedia issues we've been having, and that certainly qualifies, but so far no one has gotten back to me. Thanks for pointing that out. Kilfio (talk) 00:03, 13 December 2014 (UTC)
      • You don't have permission to edit CSS/JS as a sysop? Huh. OK, not much I can do about that, but I can edit the CSS for you :P Si (talk) 11:37, 13 December 2014 (UTC)
        • Well honestly Si I'm not sure, because I've mostly been learning by doing. Is there some kind of wiki resource for being a sysop? Kilfio (talk) 20:07, 13 December 2014 (UTC)
          • A good resource to start is probably mediawiki theming documentation, if you're looking to get into maintaining styling mediawiki css manual if that helps Circuitbomb (talk) 02:06, 14 December 2014 (UTC)
            • Course, edit your own user style first before changing the CSS of the entire wiki. Also yes, there is a bunch of stuff on the CSS page I've added that is no longer used. Si (talk) 13:33, 14 December 2014 (UTC)
              • Si, I can understand the CSS manual, but I can't figure out how to access the wiki's CSS itself. I can't even figure out how to edit the sidebar. How do I do that? Kilfio (talk) 17:21, 20 December 2014 (UTC)
                • The way that I edit the wiki's CSS for my personal hydra.css is to right-click the specific element (or near it) and 'inspect element' (in FF) this will bring up a developer tool that will let you see the elements styling in the right sidepanel, then you can override them via your personal hydra.css Circuitbomb (talk) 08:10, 22 December 2014 (UTC)
                  • Thanks Circuitbomb. I was able to fix the overlap, but now I can't figure out how to replace the wiki's CSS with my own. Kilfio (talk) 17:11, 22 December 2014 (UTC)
              • Also, can we put a captcha with page creation on this wiki so these spambots will stop making new pages? I wanted to use ConfirmEdit but, once again, the online manuals aren't telling me how to add it. Kilfio (talk) 17:21, 20 December 2014 (UTC)
